Queen Mother Congratulates Speaker Heng Samrin on His 89th birthday

PHNOM PENH: Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk sent a message of congratulations to National Assembly President Heng Samrin on the occasion of his 89th birthday on May 25, 2023.

The Queen Mother wished him the best of luck in achieving great success in his noble mission to serve the motherland and the people of Cambodia.

She said, "I would like to express my warmest and constant support to Mr. Samrin, a noble national figure who has worked hard, mentally and intellectually to fulfill the task of contributing to leading, defending, and building the nation, religion, the King, and the motherland alongside the people of Cambodia. May he be victorious in all tasks regarding peace and national development in all circumstances.

 The President of the National Assembly of Cambodia, Heng Samrin, was born on May 25, 1935, and has been the President of the National Assembly for 17 years since he took office in 2006.
